Sounds like a good deal, but make sure its just not all commercial equipment, with adequate free weights, squat racks, pullups, etc.

But damn, 200 bucks a year, that wont even get me 4 months with my gym in NJ/NY

I pay $55/month.  Downtown Toronto.

(that's also a 'corporate rate' so I'm getting a 'deal')

I pre-bought 3 years in advance for my wife and I. It was $720. I don't really like the monthly payment thing but if you break it down that way its $20 a month, and this is a huge gym with dual swimming pools, separate females only weight room, a real weight room and a third one upstairs for the less advanced folks, track, etc.....

$56 a month at mine. Really nice place though and it's on my way to and from work so it's too convenient not to use daily.

Hell, the shampoo, soap, conditioner, aftershave, lotion, deodorant, etc. they provide is all better products than anything I've ever bought in a store.

Nation-wide club access for something like $150 per year.

$26 a month

I pay it along with my tuition...and to be honest I think the fee's for the athletic facilities at my university are something like $20-30 for the entire school year (8 months), although that's just a guess.

Edit: I actually checked and it's $81.64 for 8 months.

I am lucky I get to train for free because I used to work at and manage the local gym. The owner is a good friend of mine.

Plus I'm buying a house and its about 30 seconds from the gym!!

Its a small place but it has almost everything I want/need.

$240/year.

I have an extensive home gym too, which I've posted pictures of here.

9000 yen/6 months. Unlimited usage.

Local community center here in Japan.

Not great, but can't beat it for the price, and I'm the only guy there who uses the squat rack.

I can't believe some of the prices I'm seeing here.  How the hell are the gym owners making any $$$

bitter that he pays so much in comparisson

$10.99 a month, no contract and get this on LONG ISLAND.

^ WTF??

Granted the treadmills feel like they are going to break when I am running on them, but I rarely use them.

I stick to the free weights and a few machines. But they are still getting new machines in all the time.

 I pay about $12.00 a month.

TAKU T.N.T.

I have a nice setup in house.

When I suffered a third degree shoulder separation and was able to work-out again I needed access to different machines/equipment as I could not perform my basic routines.

For example the only chest exercise that did not hurt at time ws Hammer strength decline press...etc

Anyway, Retro-fitness which is a chain 19.99 a month

Planet Fitness - 10 bucks a month
