He was supposedly close to coming back and DC said he wouldn't take the fight with Stipe if Cain was coming back so does this mean Cain is done?
Apparently DC spoke with Cain before taking the fight. Which tells me it is unlikely Cain is coming back which is sad if true.
Javier Mendez said this in Sept which is pretty telling:
“The surgery has not gone the way it was supposed to have gone. So, we’ll see with time. But Cain has been spending time with his family and doing other things. He comes in here once in a while.
“He’s not lost the desire to fight, he’s just waiting for some time, spending time with the family and doing other things he loves.
“He loves doing acting, movies and all that type of stuff. So anything involving the film industry, he loves that stuff. And anything in the car industry he loves.
“But the number one thing is his family. So those are the things he’s focused on now. When his body is 100-percent healthy and his mind will be intact with that healthiness, then he’ll be ready to fight.”
It means he's out like a fat kid in dodge ball.
Im guessing their fight has nothing and everything to do with Cain inactivity. Them fighing doesnt affect Cain being injured, but the fighs happening because of Cains injury

I was wondering what it meant as well. I had thought that with DC taking the fight that meant Cain was basically retired, because they wouldn’t fight each other. Sux that all the injuries caught up with him and broke his body and more or less his career, I was/am a big fan of Cain and his style

Back sugery ain't no Joke, mine didn't go well now I can't stand or sit for long and I have a Morphine pump. It sucks, but life happens.
It means there’s no way in hell Cain ever deserved to walk back into the title picture anyway.
