What is in your Bug Out Bag???

I am in the middle of buying stuff for a bug out bag. Actually it ios more of a get home bag.

So anyhow what items do you have in your bag?

Any special items that most people dont think of?

Pics would help as well

You gonna kill someone or something?

Rough Bearing - You gonna kill someone or something?

Nope.

A get home bag is just that, a bag to get you home if you become stranded.

Living in a cold state like i do it isnt a bad idea to have a get home bag.

That's fair enough. I never really worry about that shit because I do so much backpacking/camping/fishing that I've always got stuff laying around.

If I was going to make suggestions I'd probably go with

Duct Tape
Paracord
Freeze Dried Meals
Some form of radio
Batteries
Iodine tablets or some water purification method
Knife
1st aid kit
Solar blankets

I'd think that would be a good start. I think Mountain House puts out some really good meals. Use 1 and 1/2 cups of water instead of their recommended 2 cups. They can get a little runny.

I just checked at Walmart for a prepaid phone and the clerk said that the minutes run out if you dont use them.

Did you find one that doesn't run out?

Laziest prepper ever.

I have a Nokia that I load up with minutes, bought at a gas station in Connecticut. They're everywhere.

If anything Im sure you'll have your personal cell, just buy an extra battery or two. I did that as well. Comms is everything.
