My children 1st. Everything else a very distant 2nd.
Luckily my aspirations and dreams in other areas do not have to compete with them, since the kids would KTFO the other stuff 10 times out of 10.
Therefore I can do both.
Since I became a parent 12 years ago I haven't been genuinely miserable one single day. I was sad when my parents died, but not miserable. I get pissed off at things and people, but it doesn't really get to me.
