What is wrong with all these fighters' testicles?

Young and in the physical prime of their lives, yet they can't produce enough testosterone?

kinda makes sense...women are always bitching about something and picking retarded fights...it's obviously the estrogen that gives fighters that "special bit of crazy to enjoy fighting" and the testosterone that gives them the speed and strength.

its a way to cheat. TRT is a known joke. There are no actual level requirements for which you can be under - in terms of testosterone. You find a dr. who takes some blood and says, you know what, you can have more T than you do, so let me give you some.

And now you've "legally" gotten a testosterone supplement.

How this shit isn't outright illegal in this sport is beyond me.

YOU.

BEEP.

I would hate to think that they are pretending to have a serious health problem only so that they can gain an unfair advantage over their opponents.

What would that say about the ethics of a Marquardt or a Sonnen, and about the kind of people they are?

legit fucking LOL

VTFU in spirit

overtraining. in the seventies MEN got real respect for knowing where the threshold was.

Doesn't steroid use cause low testosterone levels? Phone Post

^^^^^THIS Phone Post

Steroids are illegal to use, though?

Heavy training (especially in combination with dieting) is more likely the culprit than former steroid use.

Plus, it's not like you can start complaining about the line between medical necessity and cheating being fuzzy now. The entire distinction between chemically-induced advantage and non-chemically-induced advantage is fuzzy, arbitrary and stupid.

It seems like you're saying that steroid use is not the culprit...then in the very next paragraph you excuse people for using steroids.

This actually makes a lot of sense....

Yes. Steroids are not the likely culprit. Additionally, the rules about what advantages are good and what advantages are bad are arbitrary and stupid.

Read a story about James Toney's low test levels. It said that his brain got rattled so much that scar tissue built up along the base of his pituitary gland, inhibiting its function. I guess this thing happens to a lot of older boxers.

Folks like Couture, Henderson, Sonnen, and Marquardt don't seem to exhibit the same symptoms as Toney -which was inability to regulate metabolism and lose weight.

fos

While the Toney story has been confirmed even by his doctor, I've always had some doubts it really made him fat. Toney has been having weight problems since his first fight. He likes to eat and doesn't like cardio.

Man this post is nuts....ouch, I know Phone Post

the low testosterone level is caused from taking steroids and then stopping. Manny Ramirez tested positive for taking something to help with that and got suspended for like 50 games with the Dodgers

Maybe Ramirez' testes didn't produce enough of the good stuff? That's a tragic medical condition to have you know.
