Speaking of foot/leglocks and his nickname, which I think means shoemaker, when I trained with him he generally didn't teach much leglocks other than some traditional stuff. I think because it is frowned upon for development of bjj technique and also he wanted to be more widely respected as a bjj instructor/competitor and not that sambo guy that does bjj.
Paulo749 -bmorela3 - pretty sure anyone who's ever trained/rolled with lloyd will tell you how good of a grappler he isThat's besides the point. I have a white belt that is really good, should I give him a brown belt?
how much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ we talking about?
This is not my claim, nor am I questioning his skills. But if this is true, it just shows that his character and motivations were suspect from the very beginning.
"As far as Lloyds Blackbelt that was asked about in another thread. Allot of people have info on that too, but I dont know about this myself...
Apparently Leo Dalla was kicked out of Jorge perieras association because he sold Lloyd his blackbelt for 10k. thats the exact amount that Jorge has said. Now heres the thing, apparently lloyd actually was very athletic and a competitive purple and what he actually paid for was an acceleration realizing that a BB was worth its weight in gold then. He basically went from purple to black in a matter of months.
As far as the 3 yr blackbelt claim. There is video of the NYC grappling challenge where Lloyd is getting choked out in advanced division by flavio almeida almost 3 yrs before he claims to have ever started bjj." - fuzzy badfeet
