What's the best book out there on MMA grappling?

I'm in between gyms right now and I want to supplement my knowledge.

I enjoyed Eddie Bravos Rubber Guard book
So many pictures and great instructions Phone Post

i'm a big fan of Mark Hatmaker's series...he has one on takedowns, one on the clinch, one on subs, one on integrating GnP...

def big nogs book by victory belt, big nog has made a specific type of jiu jitsu for mma success. will other books help? yes but are they tailor made for mma not usually. id rec his dvd set on the guard for mma, like 30$ and its great.

BJ Penn...book of knowledge.

Big Nog and BJ Penn's books are both good.

Obviously, the 10th Planet books have also been read by many and guys like Sotiropoulos (and many others even if they were not specifically affiliated with 10th Planet) have very successfully used those techniques in the UFC.

Doesn't Eddie Bravo's book talk about rubber guard and stuff? That's not really what i'm looking for. I want something more general than that. Especially if it focuses more on the top game, although I could use some tips and tricks as far as sweeps go as well...

I'm surprised nobody's attacked me. This forum is a lot chiller than Sherdog. By now, somebody would've already attacked my character...

Renzo & Danaher have a book called "Jujutsu". The alternate (to BJJ) spelling is supposed to indicate a tip of the hat to the idea that original classical jujutsu covered all phases of combat. The book covers takedowns, clinching, some striking, and a lot of really general ground game stuff.

But, I can also see how someone with a lot of training might complain that this book is too basic.

Eh... I don't really care about striking or takedowns and stuff. I mean just jiujitsu in general. Maybe focus on the top game. i looked up the Twister book and I think I'll go with that. Now I want to find a good boxing instructional book...

10 commandments of boxing is a good book.

hatmaker is a fraud. Do not buy his books.

Bj penn's book is great. eddie's stuff isn't for me (excluding some great halfguard tips). marcelo garcia has a great book about gi and nogi. some of the nogi is very interesting and applicable for mma.
