Can anyone vouch for this card?
I have the store card. I don't think it does much for me, but I have it.
No catch. I got it for an $80 gift card.
I had one, got a free gift card, didn't experience any "catch" (besides the fact that the credit card was high interest compared to what I could get from my bank)
I have one as well. I figured I might as well seeing as how much of my purchasing is done through Amazon. It is nice seeing the points slowly add up for future purchases.
Without knowing the specifics retailers have typically two reasons for having credit cards.
1) insanely high interest rates.
2) having a credit card for a retailer is believed it get you to shop there more. Surveys have shown that to be true, but I don't know to what extent.
It defaults to that credit card on amazon.com when you sign up for the credit card so don't forget to change it back to your usual payment form.
Other than that it's free money.
I got one, you get 3 percent back on Amazon purchases, 2 percent on gas and restaurants, and 1 percent on everything else. It just shows up as a credit on your Amazon account. Not sure about interest rate cause I always pay my bill off but I do know the credit limit was fairly low compared to my other cards.

Mine defaults to an old card I used someone's when I want it to default to my Amazon card. I have set it as default and it always switches back. I have complained to Amazon about it.

There are cards with better rewards out there than the amazon card. You can get 50,000 points which is equal to $600 in amazon gift cards if you spend $4k in the first 3 months on the chase sapphire card.
Don't do it, OP. You'll convince yourself "I'll get this paid off before the 0% promotional period ends" then next thing you know you'll have a $5000 balance and looking to take out a 401k loan to get your credit debt under control. Not that I know from experience or anything.
