What's the next number in this sequence and why?

1 1 2 4 4 7...

It's so weird. Generally speaking I excel at math. Yet, pattern recognition might be my weakest skill.

11? Don't ask why lol

I would guess 11?

Although I'm probably wrong

Potato.

14

If you happen to guess the right answer and you don't say why it doesn't count. Winner tells answer and WHY

13, (and then 24).

It's the next Tribonacci number in sequence.

CDarwin -

13, (and then 24).

It's the next Tribonacci number in sequence.

How does Tribonacci account for the second 4? I am not seeing what conditions would produce that.

I wouldve thought 11

14

Misedukatd -CDarwin -13, (and then 24).

It's the next Tribonacci number in sequence.

Well I put the numbers in Google and it's what came up. Fuck if I know. (Or if it is correct.)

It is not 13, I'll give the correct answer tonight if no one gets it before then.

In because I can count to potato

1 1 2 4 4 7 7 7 12

or

1 1 2 4 4 7 9 9 14

??

I was going to say 15,15.

14

Add the first three numbers and you get the sum two numbers after that.

1 + 1 + 2 = 4 (the second one)

1 + 2 + 4 = 7

2 + 4 + 4 = 14

not 14

it obviously isn't the tribonacci sequence which goes like:

0 0 1 1 2 4 7 13
