quite frankly, Marquadt and Okami should be Anderson's next opponents with maybe a super fight with GSP..........
This is a good fight.
Those of you who think good fights are made by the rankings will learn your lesson on this one.
ouchthathurts - yes, leites is a top contender and should one day compete for the title, however, with all the talk of "p4p the best in the world etc.." and with silva rumored to be retiring within the year, why are we not matching him up with the best of the best like jackson, evans, v.silva, griffin???? if we are only going to see silva fight a few more times, why not the best???Only person I'd want to see him against right now of those is Evans, because he's the champion. None of the others make any practical sense.
I don't feel a deep desire to see Silva fight light heavyweights. Fighting the 185lb contenders like Okami, Maia/Sonnen and Leites, yes. Georges St. Pierre, yes. that's just me
I have no interest in out-of-weight-class fights. The pursuit for the belts are the best story lines. Guy tries hard, guy gets his shot, guy wins or tries again.
I really don't give an F if Silva can beat the 205 or 170 belt holders.
PembrokePinesVillain - ufc is listing this fight at 185 lbs... on ufc.com, is it a title fight? everyone keeps refering to it as a 205 fight. can someone lemme know for sure
title fight
who is refering to this fight as lhw?
ouchthathurts - "People who think this fight is useless have never seen Leites fight. He is a top game grappler with good wrestling. He might surprise some of you"
like hendo?
Henderson looked like a whitebelt when he had Silva in side control. Leites is light years ahead of Henderson with submissions, and if Thales gets that chance with Silva then Silva will get tapped.
Oh please. No more Okami. thankyou.
