population 125k. not sure how low the population would have to be for the 6 remaining active cases to be significant.

we are not eligibile for phase 1 yet. figure that out.

I'm in North Carolina.

As of 11am this morning (Friday, May 15), we have:

--17,129 confirmed cases (roughly .16% of the state population)

--641 deaths (roughly .006% of the state population)

In my specific county:

--212 confirmed cases (roughly .16% of the county population)

--13 deaths (roughly .001% of the county population)

Can't give information on how many people recovered as the state doesn't report that number - likely because (as of the last time I read about it maybe a week or so ago?) NC Health Dept still hasn't determined a definition of what "recovered" means.

Other random side fact - the state of North Carolina has paid out just under $2 billion in unemployment alone since March 15 (61 days) - this doesn't take into account any other stimulus programs, small business loans, etc. on a state or federal level.

My state (OR) has 3479 cases and 137 deaths.

My county (Lane) has 61 cases and 2 deaths.

Lots of things reopen in phase one on Monday and it seems like most of the people around here are FURIOUS about it. I was reading the local reddit board and it's a common sentiment. They are crying about it and saying they don't care, they are not going back to work and will continue to hide inside and grocery shop once a month.

because they lumped us in with 1 county which completely stands alone as an outlier, but is taking 4 others down with it. It is ridiculous policy.
