When Coleman beats Shogun...

yeah I know its unlikely but absolutely no one is giving him a chance so I thought I would play devil's advocate.

So, when he wins does anyone want to see him fight Chuck in Ohio?

It makes sense for several reasons.

It would be a big "name" fight and the Ohio card doesn't have a big fight yet.

Coleman has the Ohio ties.

Its a good fight style wise, at least for Chuck.

Its also a good fight career wise for both guys. Liddell isn't risking losing to a no name fighter and Coleman would get a huge bounce from beating Liddell.

I think it might be good.

I love Coleman (and Shogun)

At least they will both be hungry for a big UFC win (and bonus)! Should be a great fight IMO.

Shogun/Liddell is much more likely.

I have no problem with the scenario you describe.

Shogun will be fine his knee was in worse shape than Frank Shamrocks when he fought Forrest.

that there's some whacky matchmakin I'll tell you what

Yes he was.  His only offense was a few takedowns and one big elbow.  It's been a while since I watched, but I'm pretty sure he never even passed guard, he didn't try any submissions, gave up his back about 10 times, and never came close to finishing him (other than the cut that could've stopped it if it was worse).

Forrest won the standup, took him down whenever he wanted, passed guard, swept/escaped when he was put on his back, was working towards a gnp stoppage at the end of the first or second round, and finished him in the third.

ps: Coleman will beat Shogun again.

Coleman will lose, but I'd love to see him win. Honestly, I wouldn't even care if he greased.

TTT for the oldtimers!
