Yup, this. Always had a great ground game. Couldn't use it unless he became a better wrestler. Became a better wrestler. Needed to be a better striker to compete with the other strikers and close distance. Became a better striker. Now he is a complete fighter.
That said, Khabib is coming (again) and can't be stopped.
cm81 - Rda has always been a killer. It's just you clowns who never give him credit.
When he knocked out G Sot, you guys got mad and called him a scumbag.
When he beat Cerrone, you guys said Cerrone was having a bad day. Same for Nate Diaz, Bendo etc etc
Give the man his due. He is a beast. Nobody ever gave him a chance in hell. Well, now he's the champ! And you guys are going to say PED's... Yeah right.
This.
Been a fan for years now and he continually gets better and better. He's been the 155 dark horse respectfully, quietly, humbly and consistantly climbing the ranks. He had one set back losing to Khabib otherwise he'd of had more hype behind him. Plus he stays out of the spot light b/c he doesn't talk shit, get in trouble or try to attention whore himself by interjecting his opinion into everyone's business.

Look at his game from the time his son was born and until now. This is what fighting to better your family looks like.
Pettis already came up nicely in life, Dos Anjos really wants his piece of the pie and tonight it showed.
I think it's because people see fighters like jones, Weidman, Ronda, etc. who blast through the ranks and are dominant their entire career. They take this as the norm.
So when someone who got stopped short of contention before starts improving and looks better than ever before, they don't see it as hard work, dedication and motivation. It's always the gear, apparently.
It's fucked up that he put on a performance like that and people want to imply he is on something. With absolutely no basis for it at all, except putting an ass beating on the champion.

Its only nerds on here who think like that. 99 percent of fans will respect him for an amazing performance.
