His "very, very, very likely" comment about Brock made me wonder when he has teased big news or a big fight and had it NOT come to fruition. I mean Conor vs. Floyd initially seemed like all marketing BS, but it wound up happening. Were there any big instances where he acted like he was getting a fighter or making a fight and it never happened?
I'm not sure if he 'teased' about it, but Fedor felt likely for a while. Could be more from the Russian side rather than Dana, but there was a period where he went from total insults on Fedor, to somewhat tolerable.
True - Dana did act like he was willing to do anything to get Fedor, but he clearly wasn't. Forgot about that - and that dragged on for a long time.

Dana got okie doked by Pride when he sent Chuck over to their GP (where he lost to Rampage in the semis) and didn’t get anyone in return. He was supposed to get Sakuraba and/or Cro Cop at the time for a fight if I remember correctly.

Yeah, as I recall, the UFC was supposed to get Sakuraba for a fight.
Other than that, the big tease was getting Fedor, but that’s less Dana’s fault, and more Fedor’s management, imo.
