When you are rolling under a punch should you step out and "create an angle" as a matter of course? I've noticed that some people always or nearly always step out after rolling under a punch to create an advantageous position for counter punching. Is this a good or bad idea? Or one of those things that should only be done in certain situations?
Well it's obviously not a bad idea.
And doing it depends on the situation and how advantageous it would be to change your position.
situational imo
jdesko23 - situational imo
its situational. you should definitely work it both ways while maintaining balance. dont get dependent on stepping out, you could be covering a flaw in your balance by doing so ( ie shifting too much weight to the side when slipping )
-i know because i used to do that
Great question.
