You guys are fags. Of course everything doesn't work in every occasion all the time. But to say that something is over used because he has made it work for him is dumb.
IMO Roger is a genius of the closed guard, but it is so over used. Same thing with that stupid "mount" thing he does. He should be more creative.

so you are comparing the mount (the best position in bjj) to the bottom of turtle? there is a reason you dont get 4 points for being on the bottom of turtle and there is also a reason you dont get clock choked from top of mount.
I think Roger beat Telles by one advantage at the World's. I also think that was the only thing scored. Telles' turtle is phenomenal.
Sometimes I wish Telles would play old school BJJ and not his turtle guard. I always hear how sick his fundamentals are. I'd like to see them put on display more. He's doing a bit of MMA here and there too. I think he won his last by a head kick Ko
He was in Israel giving a few seminars. The guys jits is definitely top level, he is almost water like, impossible to catch, and will make you tire so quickly it's almost eerie. Also, Telles is really athletic and extremely well built, which is something that is tough too realize from his youtube vids.
And most important: great teacher and a very nice, cool and funny guy

Telles academy is in Sao Paulo. Its near Demian's academy. The two teams get together and train together a couple of days a week and the training is excellent!
Telles is amazing. I have trained and rolled with him and he is insane on the mat. If you ever get the chance to go to SP or to attend a seminar with Telles make sure you go! you wont be disapointed!
