Where is Roger Brooking?

Anybody know whats happened to Roger Brooking? I heard he used to be an awesome instructor here in London. Does he still teach? Where is he now?

 Roger is my former instructor.

He is an excellent teacher and practitioner of BJJ.

He 'grew up' with Comprido and Leozinho and the rest of Alliance/Master from white to black

Roger took a break from teaching in 2006 having taught for about 5 years and kinda getting burnt out.

At the moment he is a personal trainer I think (he knows a lot about S and C and training in general)

The guys who used to train with him mainly now train at London fight factory - we are pretty much all purples and browns now - a few went to other clubs

All my fundamentals and basics I got from him and I use stuff he showed me all the time

I dont think he is teaching at the moment

If you want to contact him he is on facebook

Hope that helps

yeah I second that.

He was my instructor from white to blue, then i moved overseas. Great teacher and friend.
Hopefully he gets back into the sport...i owe him a lot and thank him for opening my eyes to this amazing sport!

A tough guy and a gentleman.

I hope he returns to the sport.

Always welcomed me to his academy when i was a blue belt even though he knew i trained at Carlsons and was just dropping by to fight with his team-always smiled and was genuinly pleased to see me.

I heard he was also doing some bodyguarding work that was lucrative and interesting.

He was one of Chris Brennans main teachers and he lived in Cali training with Chris before settling in London in 2002.

His London Team was full of tough guys.

Simon @ Carlsons

Hikikomi - I always heard this guy was a beast!!!

He did sumi Geashi (sp?) on me once as a counter to a single leg and it was so powerful I remember thinking  'when am I going to land' as I flew through the air.

He is one of those guys who is both very strong but also has very smooth technique.
