...cleaning?

A friend of mine just told me that he was using an irrigation pump like the one I bought, but the results were always "clean".

He went to the doc who had the nurse irrigate the ear. The difference is that they used a liquid stool softener to soften the wax and he got better results that way. Really? Liquid stool softener?

Is he pulling my leg (or my ear)?

i work in an e.r. and we just use plain old saline and a bulb syringe for irrigation. i've heard of people using olive oil and sweet oil to soften the wax, and then irrigating.
