Where to Eat in Boston....

This is not a spin. Consider me motivated by Zned Philly thread.

Headed to Boston tomorrow for the weekend. I want to hit up a couple of their best restaurants. Family friendly is better but my kids do well at nice restaurants too.

That one place...

I love Boston, but most of my eating experience there is business related, so only steaks.

In for the read.

O'ya was the best meal I ever had.... though that was 8 years ago.

Faneuil Hall.  It's like a giant food court with all these tiny gormet restaurants

Where are you staying?

It's hard to go wrong with any restaurant on Hanover St if you like Italian food.

neptunes oyster.  prepare for a very. very long wait

Carlo's Cucina Italiana... Little hole in the wall in Allston/ Brighton.  As good as any place in the North End.

Faneuil hall as stated, or 5 minute walk to the Green Dragon Tavern for an excellent mixed grill.

If you're a pizza fan go to Regina's in the North End.

Try Antica Forno in the north end.  The kids will like it. Lucca if you want something a bit higher end.

I'm staying just east of Boston Common

Thanks for the recommendations guys!!

On the north end, there is an Italian Deli that has the best sammiches, ever. Id have to look up the name, but thats not gonna happen

Good call on antico forno for north end

faneuil hall is tourist trap.  Walk a couple blocks to the Boston public market next to haymarket T stop.  The back of that is greenway and across that is the north end so can't go wrong.

Not sure if kids go but Scampo is awesome and it's inside an old jail turned into a hotel which is cool.  You said east of Boston common so you won't be far at all

i always find a reason to go to one of the locations of Flour Bakery as well.  How old are your kids?

Night shift brewing near TD garden has gotten great reviews and they have kids menu too

Are you taking them to the children's museum? I've been so many times but my kids really loved it at that age

Legoland is fun for kids that age too if you don't have one near you.  Museum of science hasn't been updated since I was their age .  Aquarium isn't that great either

Wife and I went five or ten years ago. Couldn't give you a specific recommendation, but I do remember the Italian food and the lobster being top notch.
