Where to get blood work?

I'm in grad school, and am insured with a policy from the school. However, I don't think it covers much. But I want to get some blood work done just to see my hormone levels and other levels to see if they fall into the norm.

Anyone know of clinics that do this? About how much for a full comprehensive blood test? Thanks

I was in the same boat. Someone recommended this place:

It's legit. I've used them 3 times w/o any problems. First look to see if they have a participating lab near you, log in pick your tests and pay for them. They send you a link to the lab request papers (PDF) which you take with you to the lab. In a few days you get an email with a link with the results again in PDF format.

All the prices are listed on the website. I'm not sure how they compare to other places but I didn't care because I had a hell of a time trying to get labs done w/o insurance.

Another thought would be to see if there's a PIFATOS (pay-in-full-at-time-of-service) lab in your area listed at www.simplecare.com

PIFATOS medical care is way, way cheaper for the uninsured since providers aren't passing on to you the expense of having to deal with insurance and bureaucracy.

Why would you need to check your hormone levels? Are you using steroids or something

Thanks for the reccs. What types of test are recommended? Just wanted to make sure all my hormones are on par, health, etc.

Nope, not on steroids that sort of thing scares me. Hit 31, and my energy levels are not as high as they used to be. Lost some muscle. Back in the gym, and just want to make sure I'm good.

If you're worried about hypogonadism, here's a good site that talks about the labs used to establish diagnosis:

Sorry, had to ask. A lot of douchebags on here who use that junk. Usually age 33 is when it declines the most but not all that much where it makes a big difference.
