Fess up Ambulance Driver

A man has been jailed for stealing an ambulance and telling authorities he was headed to “see some pole dancing.” Bryan Kryscio was arrested Sunday night at about 11 p.m.

According to police in Pontiac, they were called to McLaren Oakland Hospital by a Star EMS employee who said they were returning a stretcher to the ambulance when they saw it driving down Perry Street. The employees said the ambulance was left unlocked and running when a man jumped inside.

One of the employees had left their cell phone in the emergency vehicle and police were able to trace it to 14 mile and Ryan in Sterling Heights. Police pulled it over and found Kryscio behind the wheel.

He was charged Tuesday with unlawfully driving away of an automobile.
