We get it, you like the Diaz brothers alot because they are the ultimate underdog's and also super fun to watch and you can probably relate to them. But he didn't win the fight, and no it wasn't a robbery.
I love the Diaz brothers and you bitching jerk offs are starting to turn me against them.
Diaz Bros have the most insufferable fanbase in all of MMA these days.
Take the loss like adults.
This is not a knock on the Diaz Brother I love them both and wish them the best.
This is aimed at their annoying fanboys.
I know I'm gonna get down voted but I'll take the hit if it means even one of you will stop whining.
As for your OP..... I completely disagree. No, after watching it for a second time, it certainly wasn't a robbery, a draw at least, Nate edging out the W at worst. Gotta give Connie credit for toughing it out, though... at the start of the third I didn't think it would last 5 more minutes. If Nate would have pressured him more when he was disengaging and walking away, we wouldn't be having this conversation right now. Whether that was because he was also tired or he just thought he had his number and it was only a matter of time, IDK but one hard charge halfway through the third and I have a hard time believing he couldn't have got the TD and Sub or a GNP finish.
No big deal, though... it's 1-1, Nate got the finish and they'll do it again next year.
As for Connies future.... he better fix that cardio problem if he plans on ending up as the all time great that he already thinks he is! Smart game plan by him, for sure. Had he come out guns blazing like the first time around, i'm not sure he'd have had enough to get out of the second, let alone the third. The wresters he's gonna face at LW may not all have the chins of a Diaz or the sub skills but many of them have better wrestling and muuucccch better TD's.
Nate, I love him - but he's a 1 and a half dimension fighter. The same way Nick couldn't force Condit out of his gameplan, Nate couldn't capitalize when Coner was re-setting and clearly gassed. I think Eddie Eyebrows beats both of them.

Op is right. Diaz fans have a history of delusional scoring of fights that involve both brothers.
Seriously I remember watching the Condit/Nick fight hoping Nick would win but there was no doubt in my mind Condit should've won at the end. When I watched it again after all of the claims of robbery here, I was looking to see how it could've been scored for Nick to win but I couldn't see it. It was a bit closer than I first thought but he still lost fair and square.
This was even more evident in the Conor/Nate 2 fight. I just can't see how you don't give Conor rounds 1,2 and 4. Round 3 was clearly Nate's but he just scraped round 5 with that takedown at the end.
It's funny how people always complain about fighters being bitches trying to wrestle the Diaz bros but Nate spent the last 2 round trying to take Conor down but nobody says anything about it. Those were two rounds in which Conor was much more tired than Nate and he still couldn't do anything.
Considering Conor was the smaller guy, was completely gassed towards the end of the 2nd and 3rd rounds, his fans should be asking why Nate couldn't put him away when he had the chance or giving Conor credit for coming back to win the 4th, instead of making ridiculous excuses like the knockdowns didn't count or leg kicks shouldn't count. If leg kicks don't count well then either should Nate's little arm punches while they were in the clinch.
I don't know the stats but I'd imagine those arm punches were the majority of his total strike in the fight. They weren't effective at all, Conor's face didn't have a mark on it. The only reason he gassed was because he was fighting a much bigger guy at a weight class he had no business fighting in.
Whatever though, I shouldn't expect anything less from most of his fans. It's so great to see them so upset and I'm sure they won't get over it for a long time either.
Ray Cappa - Nate, I love him - but he's a 1 and a half dimension fighter. The same way Nick couldn't force Condit out of his gameplan, Nate couldn't capitalize when Coner was re-setting and clearly gassed. I think Eddie Eyebrows beats both of them.
I respect your honesty. I'll admit I was hoping Conor would win but I went back to look at how Nate could've won, especially round 2, but it's impossible.
Fuck all of the other shit it boils down to who won the most rounds. Conor clearly took 3 rounds (1,2 and 4) he also made the 5th a close round.
I feel like Diaz fans want mma to be two guys bolted to the ground at boxing range and the rules state that you cant block punches and just see who goes out first.
