White: I 'guarantee' MacDonald & GSP will fight

<p>Georges St-Pierre is the long-time dominant welterweight champion and Rory MacDonald is one a five-fight win streak. It seems as though the two are on a collision course, however the two are close friends and training partners. Both have adamantly stated that they would not fight each other, however, UFC President Dana White seems adamant the fight will happen should MacDonald become the number one contender:</p>
"Those two will fight. Here’s what they’re not going to do: they’re not going to publicly sit here and call each other out and go up and see each other in the gym and face each other. They’re both professionals. They understand that they’re both on this path to collide, and I think when the day comes, they’ll deal with it then. I think that’s the way they’re looking at it, First of all, Rory lives in his house, meaning his gym. He lives in Montreal, trains with him, Georges says all kinds of good things about him. How weird would it be after the fight the other night if he got on the mic and said, ‘I want Georges St. Pierre and I want his belt’? It would be a little awkward flying back to Montreal and training on Monday, I think these guys are handling it like professionals, doing their thing and when the day comes when they’re there, I guarantee you they’ll fight.'
BigWilliam - Can someone clarify, I heard a rumor that Rory actually LIVED with GSP? Is that true?
I'm pretty sure that's true. I think it was when he first moved out there when he was 20 yrs old or something.
From all accounts they're pretty close friends and it sounds like they've already got a plan how to avoid this problem when it comes up. I highly doubt they will ever fight.
Is anyone asking for this fight? I'm afraid if they do fight it may not even be a fight. If it is anything like Rory vs Ellenberger then everyone is happy. Dana gets the fight on the card and Rory and GSP dance around the ring and don't fight eachother.
If Rory is not willing to fight the champ then he has no business fighting contenders on the main card. Put him on the undercard and have him fight guys coming in or going out.

Your post makes no sense. Surely if he doesn't want to fight for the belt he's better off testing contenders rather than crushing mid/low tier opposition.
This is always such a tough subject for fighters to talk about. I would almost equate it to fighting my brother which I don't know if I could ever do...because I am a pussy.

This. They are both intelligent guys, and have undoubtedly come up with some kind of a solution.
Besides, let's say GSP gets past Hendricks, how long does he want to stick around for? Rory in my opinion absolutely MUST win a rematch against Condit before we even think about him in the title picture.
