UFC President Dana White recently talked to Campus Insiders about his relationship with fans on Twitter and why he often enters into a verbal war of words with some.
"People ask me that all the time. Take the high road. Nah. The high road isn't fun. The low road is fun. That's me. I'm the low-road guy. My thing with Twitter and social media is you can't just go on and say stupid stuff to people unless you want some stupid stuff back. I'm that guy. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's not right. But it's fun, and I enjoy it and I think that's what social media is really all about. I'm in the fight business anyway. Get over it, people."
SteTheMan1988 - I 100% agree with what he's saying. Just because you're a public figure shouldn't have to mean that you can't hit back at trolls online.
However! A lot of his twitter rants are misguided and uninformed.
No he is 100% wrong. Anyone brought up by a decent mother will attest to that.
He's "wrong" to you because you value respect and decency.
He's right in his own eyes because he values fun, and he doesn't give a fuck.
Respect is earned. You talk shit, shit will get talked back.

Just ride under a fake name like most professionals in the industry.
"Taking the low road" would be how he handles real fighters because he's "the boss". Shit talking them to try and devalue their hard work, talent and accomplishments. Picking favorites based on who makes him feel more special or who he thinks is "cool" or "pretty". Running the "fight business" like he's the sleazy manager/boss's son in a non-union warehouse.
That's all real "low road" behavior which I'm sure he also thinks is great fun. The twitter comments are just chilldish antics that don't really effect anything significant. He should be embarrassed to admit he finds that fun. Nobody really cares, he just makes himself look foolish by participating.
And he wonders why the sport isn't completely mainstream yet. He wonders why they don't look professional. It's because of his actions. And also some of the fighter's actions too.
Every CEO everywhere is a fucking robot. One guy shows emotions and of course some idiots want to shut him up. It's not even because people think he's wrong for showing emotion either, it's because they know they can get the support of the PC Principal crowd. Well they need to get back to their cubicles and pretend to be happy and polite for another 8 hours.
think what you want about him but i totally agree with him here. i never have criticized him for talking shit other then on his own fighters, because what kind of a promoter does that? i think talking shit to folks on the social median and forums is a fundamental pillar of the internet
The problem is his social media is symptomatic of the man himself. He just doesn't take the low road on social media, he takes the low road on EVERYTHING; Reebok, fighter pay, Zuffa employment laws, everything. If the man can't take the high road with something is minor as twitter. what makes you think he can take the high road for anything?

In your opinion - does this mean he's a bad person?
