Following UFC 190, Ariel Helwani caught up with UFC President Dana White and talked about Rousey's victory and potential future opponents, including Cris Cyborg.

Ariel Helwani: Not sure if that was a rhetorical question, but I have a response to who else you want to see?
Dana White: She [Cris Cyborg] didn't make the weight yet.
Ariel Helwani: But that's still there? That's still a possibility right? That's what everyone is saying.
Dana White: The day she makes the weight and does what she's supposed to do, that fight is on. She wants that fight, everybody wants, you don't think I want that fight? That fight, now I'm changing my mind on that fight. I think that fight does two and half million PPV buys. I think that fight is massive.
Thank you for posting and I hope you don't mind me mentioning, you didn't transcribe the part where Dana said Cris has to make 135 safely. This is an interesting development considering in the past Dana was adamant that PEDs were preventing Cris from dropping to 135.
I feel bad for the other fighters in the division. I want to see Cyborg vs Rousey but not at the expense of the other fighters in the division who are nowhere near a title shot or getting any of the UFC PR machine

you mean the other 20 something women who were signed up for the slaughter?
Enlisting the help? Wow. All Cyborg has to do is make weight for the division that is in the UFC and she gets a HUGE payday. It is not complicated.
So your definition of running is staying in one place, dominating, and leaving the door open indefinitely to give someone an instant title shot the second they want to fight in the same division along with a fat paycheck?
Let's stop acting like it's impossible for Cyborg to make 135. The only reason she won't is because she knows that her size advantage is what wins her fights and going down to 135 would mean that she would need to lose some body mass. Compared to Ronda, Cyborg's technique is shit and she has little chance without the extra bulk.
Maybe Ronda should take whatever challenge she can find instead of staying in a class she has cleaned out? It's not like she's a strawweight, she should have a issue taking a fight at 140/145
At this point, there is almost no reason to have the fight even at 135. If Cyborg makes the weight and Ronda rapes her in 1 minute, everyone will just say Cyborg was too depleted from the weight cut and the win means nothing. And that Ronda is a coward for not fighting Cyborg in the non existent weight division of 145.
I sure wish back in the day Sugar Ray Leonard would have taken on Ali and George Foreman, even though they were in heavier weight classes, just to prove he was the champion.
Cyborg refuses to get her weight down. I'm not a huge fan of Ronda but she works hard and never has been caught cheating. She expressed admiration for Carano for doing the same and cited this as justification for her willingness to meet her. The Rousey haters can not handle the truth. What does Cyborg walk around at, 170? More? It isn't likely she could even make 140. How many years did Cyborg use steroids or PEDS before she was caught?
To shut people up I say make the fight at 140. Cyborg is drug tested weekly for six months leading up to the fight. For every pound Cyborg is over that weight, she has to donate $10,000 to the charity of Ronda's choice. If the weight exceeds 150, the fight is off. I'd have another female fighter standing by....
