Jon Jones was super impressive at UFC 172, dominating a super tough Glover Teixeira, and according to Dana White, he was the best he's ever looked:

"I think it was the best performance of his career," White said in the post-fight press conference about the 26-year old Jones. "Obviously Las Vegas didn’t give Glover Teixeira the respect that he deserved as a 6-to-1 dog. Jones, I think that if he didn’t prove it in the [Alexander] Gustafsson fight, he definitely proved it in this fight -- Jones has a chin. He evolves every time he fights, he comes out and puts on a clinic and does new things.

"But I also thought leading up to this fight, Jones was different also. He just seems to be…he was the youngest light heavyweight champion ever, but he’s becoming a man right in front of everybody. He’s growing up in and outside of the Octagon, and I thought he’s never looked better than he did tonight."

He looked pretty good. He fights smart

Dana is REALLY trying to get the fans behind Jones.

I thought he looked fantastic.

Say what you will about him outside of the ring, but there is no denying his talent in there. He may be the greatest of all time. Time will tell. Phone Post 3.0

Lol well who does he have left

EvilMaster - Dana is REALLY trying to get the fans behind Jones.

Yep.
Thing about Jones for me, I like him anyway. I'd rather watch him fight than just about anybody else, save my favorite fighters and some old school guys.
But yeah, blaf is desperate for more $ Phone Post 3.0

Looks like he's going eye poke Dana in pic lol Phone Post 3.0

I can agree with this Phone Post 3.0

Ya know...When Jones first came around, I wasn't a big fan. He started winning, did some impressive shit. But then started talking about himself like he is the best ever and goat and all this crap.

So like a lot of people, I turned on him. Not because of his fighting, but because of his cocky mouth.

But as time goes by, it's getting hard not to admit that he really is as good as he says he is.

That guy is a legitimate bad motherfucker.

I guess I am over bagging on him for his cocky mouth. His fighting skills have earned my respect. Hope he keeps on winning.

Lol so he calls this jones best performance ever yet calls werdums performance vs browne safe & disapointing

I agree with the egg. Jones looked awesome and even beat his high score for eye pokes!

Yeah, the eye pokes and hand in the face tactics where spot on. He looked sharp!

The hate jones gets I don't understand. Phone Post 3.0

Was a good performance. Outside of the whole outstretched hand debacle but hard to say shogun wasn't his best performance. He put an absolute beating on a true legend and didn't lose a second of that fight. Phone Post 3.0

He had his greatest eye poking session to date Phone Post 3.0

Or he's just praising him because he is incredibly talented and gets better every fight...

He has praised Werdum and countless others in the past after their wins as well. Phone Post 3.0

Verdum destroys Brown without any questionable tactics and Dana discredits his win immediately.

JJ goes 5 rounds, using eye pokes to set it all up and it is the greatest thing since sliced Bread.

Wut?
That statement is half true.

Dana did say he felt like Werdum took his foot off the gas a little to get the win...never discredited him IMO. That was after he said Werdum looked fantastic and Browne looked bad. Phone Post 3.0

He was also asked by Helwani if he felt that Werdum played if safe towards the end and that was his response ^^^ Phone Post 3.0

I have no problem with Hyping Jones after that performance. As long as Gus get's his rematch promptly without more bullshit.

wat a fight, Glover's tough man n i got more respect for Jones after watchin that fight
