Oops... different Ralph!
It's been ages since I was at Ralph's but there was definitely a purple belt named Tim Anderson when I was there ~5 years ago. Older dude, mostly bald.

That's the guy! Must have received his black? I've looked everywhere and can't find a thing.
Much respect if so.

No idea. This was the MV academy, and I moved to the SF school around that time.
All I know is that he was a purple belt long enough ago, that it's not inconceivable.

Yeah a purple 5 years ago is understandable. Finally a guy with a conceivably legit BB claim. I'm almost positive that's the same guy. Thanks for verifying.
I'm going to message him and give him props for being such a badass at his age. If he is a BB now it's a shame more people don't know because an achievement like that so late in life and after 15 years is damn impressive.

Meh. That Misho guy is just average at best. He uses a lot of muscles and like to pick on lighter guys. He has his own gym in Chicago (NorthsideMMA.com)
BTW, Darren Uyenoyama (the UFC fighter) is also a Ralph Gracie BB.

(I hope that Misho guy doesn't see my post on here...) LOL
Yes, Tim "The Enchanter" Anderson (who's a good friend of mine) received his black belt from Ralph Gracie in January 2011. He trains primarily at Ralph's Mountain View academy (but is currently recovering from knee surgery).
FYI, Tim's been training for at least 15 years. He was given his nickname "The Enchanter" by BJ Penn (who began learning BJJ at Ralph's Mountain View academy).

Black Belt from Ralph Gracie after 15 years of hard work is just sick dedication. Too bad more people don't know about that accomplishment.
Maybe someone with the right knowledge can edit Ralph's wiki page to include an updated list of all his black belts.
RickStorm -Willingly_Butt_Bonnared - You misheard him. He said ALF Gracie.![]()
Change it to OSS

I remember that guy. Used to where a Cahill Judo gi to practice?
Yes, Tim is as thorough and legit a black belt as they get. Here is a pic of his promotion (a link rather than upload for privacy because I'm going to take down later).

From my head, I think there are about 8 bb missing from the list, including: Machine, Newton C., Big Alex G., Renan, Knapp, Tim A., Darren and another from Dublin.

Disagree--Misho is not average. He got his black belt faster than almost anyone under Ralph. That was after placing at Pan Ams in a brown belt division won by some guy named Braulio Estima.
Greg Rivera is another black belt. Teaches out in socal

He was being sarcastic
Good catch, vibrant. Otherwise we might have all thought misho was just an average, overly strong black belt.
