Who are the real top ten HW fighters?

Just a glance at the UFC’s top 15 HW’s will show you their division is hurting somewhat…

Cain is in the top 10 but he hardly fights, Hunts there too but he is not being allowed to fight at the moment and is 43.

Arlovski, Albini, Browne and Tim Johnson are all current UFC top 15 HW’s. That alone shows you how unhealthy the UFC’s HW division is.

Bellator’s GP is filled with LHW’s and aging legends like Fedor and Mir who are not 10% of what they once were. Mitrione and Nelson are there and are clearly still too tough for most HW’s to beat.

12-0 Pavlovich looked great with a KO in Fight Nights yesterday.

20-0 Minakov is about to fight the tough Tony Johnson.

12-4 Vakhaev just got a huge win over Goltsov in ACB.

Kharitonov is out there fighting in M1 and Bellator.

Aliakbari has huge potential but Crocop was too much for him last NYE at Rizin.

16-1 Ivanov just got a big win over Alencar in PFL.

Say there was a true 16 HW GP featuring all the worlds top HW’s. Who are the ten fighters most likely to win it right now in November 2017? Here are in my opinion the worlds top 10 HW’s.

10 HW’s most likely to win a HW GP:

  1. Miocic

  2. Minakov

  3. Werdum

  4. Overeem

  5. Ivanov

  6. Ngannou

  7. Cain injury free

  8. Blaydes

  9. JDS

  10. Pavlovich

Honorable mention: Mitrione, Aliakbari, Volkov

Just a matter of time and I bet see Ngannou #1.

I read somewhere that UFC tried to sign Pavlovich but they didn’t offer him enough money so he stayed with Fight Nights.

Fight Nights Global is owned by a billionaire so I am sure he can keep any talent there if he wants to.

Maybe touch or someone knowledgeable about Russian MMA can explain why Fight Nights put Pavlovich in their title picture and keeps Minakov in these main events without making it for a HW belt over the past few years.

HW is way too thin to exist as it does…

HW sucks because the talent is spread out like crazy…

UFC has an elite ten fighters.

Aliakbari, Crocop, and Moldavsky in Japan.

Mitrione, Nelson, Kongo, Mir, Fedor in Bellator.

Minakov, Pavlovich, Kharitonov, Sidelnikov, Johnson, Pesta , Kudin in Fight Nights Global

Vakhaev, Goltsov, Rusalov, Erokhin, Smoldarev, Moknatkin, Mehmen in ACB.

Umiev in Akhmat.

Vera in ONE.

Mighty Mo in ROAD.

Ivanov, Alancar, Jordan in PFL.

Andryzak, Rodriquez Jr, Rozalski, Pudz, Bedorf in KSW.

The best heavyweight in the world is Daniel Cormier.

wiggum - The best heavyweight in the world is Daniel Cormier.

I say it is a pick-em vs the current version of Stipe but I honestly feel Cormier is the dog vs Minakov.

When he is on, Minakov is likely to submit or KO anyone.

I do agree though, DC is for sure one the best HW’s.

I left him off the list because he is down at LHW.

Word. I was definitely being a little cheeky.

He’s definitely top 3.

Once you get down to Francis the rest of the ufcs heavyweights are irrelevant, and the guy above him has fought like 3 times in five years. Two fighters in the top 15 with a 1-5 record in their last six. Albini being top 15 should tell you all you need to know.

The only good heavyweight in bellator is Mitrione and he was barely a top 10 hw in the ufc, if even that.

There are a lot of promising heavyweights out there though so its not all doom and gloom.

And DC will be up there as soon as Cain announces his retirement.

Replace Blaydes & Pavlovich with Mitrione & Cormier imo

He couldn't even finish Mir or Nelson at Hw. Hes a great hw but I would like to see him against the top hwys.
