who can you take private lessons from

i was wondering if you are going to take private lessons does the insructor have to be from the team you train with or can you take from the instructor you prefer

this is america.

choose who you want.

almost anyone

I do it all the time and love it

hell no, its your money do whatever you want.

You can take it from anyone. I'd let your instructor know before you do just out of respect Phone Post

just trying to see if it was frowned upon

If it's from another team your instructor may get pissed, probably want to clear it first. But it depends on the team.

Choose anyone! That being said, I have so much to learn from my instructor still, I feel it is unnecessary money spent. Phone Post

I would ask your instructor but mine has always encouraged it.

This is the correct answer Phone Post

For me I am very lucky to be under an instructor (daniel Beleza) who has a ridiculously profound knowledge, incredibly technical bjj...currently my extra money (if I have it) is better spent on private lessons from him. Im not saying that I would learn nothing from a seminar...in fact, the contrary. I am saying I would learn more from a private lesson with my instructor. Phone Post

if your in LA stop by torrance for a free private lesson w/bb
