I do.
It would be more interesting if he did
Me too. Seems like a good guy, putting it on the line and wanting to test himself. Would be cool.
Nah it would make MMA look terrible if he won at the UFC level in his first fight.
Let's be real the dude has nothing for the fight game other than some twitter followers.

Ray Cappa -No. I never followed wrestling and couldn't name a single wrestler unless they transitioned into mma.1800champagne - I'd never heard of him before he signed with the UFC. I'd never heard of Brock, either. You never heard of a freak heavyweight wrestler who went undefeated and won the NCAAs ? I must live in a bubble. In my world he was a household name long, long before the WWF.
I hope he wins, you can tell he is a big fan and putting in the work. It would be a dream come true I'm sure.
I'd at least like him to not make a fool of himself. Plenty of very skilled guys get dominated, look at Urijah, lol I kid I kid. Anyway, despite what people on here think who don't know much about him, he works his ass off. He always has. When nobody would train him, he trained himself. When nobody would hire him, he started his own small promotion. When Vince wasn't using him, he forced him to. When they treated him poorly, he walked. Now he's willing to risk a tremendous amount of embarrassment to put his balls on the line and try this. That all sounds like how a man handles things, to me. It also sounds like the ideal America is supposed to be. Carpe diem. Make America great again, root for Punk.
UncleChael -Everytime his name comes up in regards to his first UFC fight, I see tons of vinegar-y comments from delicate vaginas who can't stand that he gets this opportunity.
So, just for the satisfaction of upsetting these bitches, and because it would just be fucking cool, I want CM Punk to win.
I can't be the only one. Who else wants him to win?
Sidenote, I haven't been a WWE fan since it was WWF. I don't care that he's a wrassler either way.
I'd love to see it (on replay at a later date, no way I actually watch that freak show, as its happening) and I hope it happens.
The last time a WWE guy signed up for UFC, he smashed the heavyweight division and promptly broke the hearts of insecure MMA fans, who actually believed UFC has the best athletes and the best fighters in the world. Punk coming in and winning, despite the injuries and limitations he has, would go a long ways to further discredit UFC, in their claim of having the best.
I'm with OP on this one.

Well, Wes Hand and Stephen Neal beat him, during the NCAA run with Minnesota. Where did you hear he went undefeated? You talking about junior college?
yo
I do
I'm curious for sure. If he wins then good for him.
I love going against the masses
What if he starches Mickey? The UG would implode and it would be hilarious, the butthurt would reach epic proportions.
That is a big if though in all honesty...Gall looked pretty good in his last fight.
SinCityHustler -It's plain dumb to compare Lesnar and Punks transitions into MMA. You can't claim Lesnar as a pro wrestler who was able to waltz into the UFC and dominate, he dominated because of his high level college wrestling pedigree. If he decided to jump straight into MMA instead of WWE he would've had a greater impact because of the above.UncleChael -Everytime his name comes up in regards to his first UFC fight, I see tons of vinegar-y comments from delicate vaginas who can't stand that he gets this opportunity.

Punk is the true indication of how an actual professional wrestler would fare in an MMA fight. And I for one hope he gets absolutely destroyed, would be a horrible look for MMA if he got the win.
I do.

This makes no sense to me
You're acting as though he was on a WWE show on Sunday and then just hops into the octagon.
He's been doing BJJ for years, sure it's been inconsistent because of his schedule but money has afforded him the opportunity to roll with high level black belts...that still counts for something. A lot of MMA fighters don't have that level of trainers and partners to roll with in their local gyms.
He also has been with Roufus for what now??...well over a year. MANY people have taken MMA fights with less training than that and with schools not in the same ballpark as Roufusport.
Why would Punk's win look so horrible for the sport? Did you say the same for Matt Riddle with his first fight and win in the UFC?

I'm not going to argue with you, over how dumb and insecure the typical MMA fan is, but if you were here back then, when it went down, that is exactly what you saw happen. Brock Lesnar came in representing WWE, not NCAA, and he smashed all the UFC champions (3 of them) and had the best title run any heavyweight has had in the history of the UFC. In fact, Borck brought over millions of WWE fans. You bet your ass he was a WWE guy. Those are the facts, you can google this stuff if you don't believe me.
I thinking Randy Couture and James Toney. It's going to be quick and bloody.
I hope Punk wins just see the MMA snobs get their jimmies rustled.
