Which fighter was / is more dominant in his prime ?
Fedor (today) or Sakuraba (2002 and below)
thats a close one but If I had to pick id go with Fedor
So far, no one has proven to be better than Fedor in his prime. When Sakuraba ran into Wanderlei during his prime, he got blasted. So Fedor by a mile. Not to mention Fedor had more credible wins.
Fedor.
Saku had some problems in his prime, he lost to Goes IMO.
Fedor easily.
Taking nothing away from Saku's accomplishments, beating Royler was not that competitive a match up. Same with Macias.
Nice wins over Belfort, Renzo, Newton, and Rampage are note worthy. Totally dominated by Wand and Arona, and getting caught playing with Schembi hurt his "place"in the dominance category.
Fedor demolished opponents.
bryanand - Fedor.

And Mezger.
Saku is a legend, but Fedor takes it.
Both are great fighters and 2 of my favorite fighters.
Like said above though, Sak lost a few here and there. Fedor has not.
Fedor has been dominate for a longer span.
I hope Fedor does not go the way of Sak and V.Silva and Chuck Liddel. I dont wanna see Fedor laid out in several fights.
Fedors decline will eventually come. It happens to every fighter, except those that retire and stick to it, ie Rocky Marciano.
Fedor beats Arlovski, perhaps a match with Overeem in Japan, and if the contracts and money is right, Lesnar or Mir.
Smart move then is retirement.
i'd have to go with the guy who went undefeated in pride
Fedor easily.
is this a joke?
its easy to look good when the promotion is repeatedly paying youre opponents to lose
Fedor but Sak was usu undersized. All those mentioned like Goes, Mezger, Wand, etc were LHWs and big ones at that compared to the 180-185lb Sak at the time.
Fedor by a wide margin.
Fedor but like Wasa-B mentioned Sak's losses, nearly all of them came vs fighters above his weightclass or even two weightclasses above Sak's.

No Barnett fight?
fedor, but saku was really a 170 lbs fighter who faced a lot of bigger guys
