Shogun.
First exposure to MMA was watching Pride '05 GP with my TKD gym.
Also, my first and only live UFC event was Shogun vs. Henderson.
WAR SHOGUN.
Mark Hunt
Igor V.
Josh Neer
Chris Lytle
Renan Barao
Guys that show up to fight.
Evan tanner
Bj Penn
Cuz Cheeeeeehuuuuuuu!!!!!! Das why.
Genki Sudo
Demian Maia
Big Nog (Pride)
GSP for setting the benchmark.
Shogun Rua. Straight killer!
GSP has been my favourite for the last 10 years. I haven't really thought too much about it since he's retired, but I really don't have a favourite active fighter at this time. I like almost everybody.
GSP is my all-time favourite fighter. Machida is my favourite active fighter.
As far as entertainment, Anderson Silva is probably my favourite fighter to watch. So grateful.
ThatKickDidntHuroooohhhhhhhh - GSP is my all-time favourite fighter. Machida is my favourite active fighter.Graceful*
As far as entertainment, Anderson Silva is probably my favourite fighter to watch. So grateful.
Sudo- his westside submission tournament video opened my eyes to what sub wrestling could be. He was also chill as hell.
Sherk- a genuinely nice guy.
Jardine- same as Sherk.
But for pure, unadulterated craziness, nobody beats Aaron Brink. That dude is/was out of his mind but was still nice to me even though I amount to squat in the MMA world.
Vitor Belfort 1996-present old school-----new school
He came onto the seen touted as a GJJBB, then fought toe to toe with a guy who had half a pec(who I was rooting for).
I thought, why doesn't everyone fight like this?
The answer, of course, is that everyone would be dead eventually.
It's the reflexes I like. The mind/body connection. The sense of urgency when in fear.
How fast he floated up after being taken down by Tank
(another of my favorites).
I saw those reflexes again in MMA when Cro Cop fought Sakuraba.
Other guys I dug for there smoothness and approach to the game were Carlos Newton and Yves Edwards.
And Fedor because of his personality, humbleness, and dominance that went with it.
One of a kind.
WANDERLEIIIIIIIIIIII SILVAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Someone who would step in, get in your face and tell your ass"Motherfucker I'm Ready To Go To War" just by staring you down. His fearlessness. His Wild, In your face energy. He stepped up against Fujia.......... FUJITA!!!!! And he knocked him out , also as a late replacement. You'd never, And I Mean NEVER, find a boring fight from him. Always giving it his all. Comes from the no rules Vale Tudo days and trained with Chute Boxe in their famous insanely all out sparring
Apart from his fighting achievements, Wanderlei is a model Human Being. Everybody knows him as the nicest guy in all of MMA. Definetly somebody willing to help out his fellow man.
"I don't have fans I have friends"
-Wanderlei Silva
Anderson Silva. He is black dana
Ees normal
Hard to pick but saku, genki, and Fedor were the guys i found most impressive for different reasons and at different times. Looking back I'd probably say Saku overall.
Hendricks for sure for me. I swear his nuts pretty hard. remember watching him KO fitch and loved him since. close second is hendo
