Who misses the Cringeworthy UFC Gladiator Theme

Vrill -

I have fond memories of the sepia toned gladiator man fondling the dirt.

Pretty much tops the chart Phone Post 3.0

That gladiator shit and Face the Pain both hype me up.  I know shit is going down when I hear them.  They are anthems.

Ok WattMell looks like you beat me by a few seconds but I agree.  I'm thinking I should download them and start fights while listening to them.  This is the music they should use for all WorldStar fight videos.

I remember the first time they changed it to the new one and I think today if they brought it back people would love it. The new intro as cool as it is has been played out. Or they could have a new one for each ppv, I mean 4 billion what do they have to lose? Phone Post 3.0

Dana should have contacted Hans Zimmer or other legendary score composer for the UFC theme.

Love this theme. Still listen to it on my workout mix sometimes. Phone Post 3.0

The black and white interview snippets, gladiatorial hymn in the background, then the wicked highlights of the fighters. I was a uniquely UFC thing and that I really loved. It got me very excited for the fights. I know people / brands update image etc all the time, but I really think they had a winning formula with it. I used to get goosebumps when it was one of the massive matchups years in the making, like Tito Chuck.

I agree. Fights were also more rare back then. Now we have Fight Nights every few weeks for free. It was definitely more of a moment when they cut to the pay per view. Now its just Dana and Rogan yelling at us. Phone Post 3.0

to be honest i never think about it much. I would wonder why they cut that but left "face the pain"..such a shitty shitty song that literally represents nothing

its quite funny how people always debated the production of UFC vs Pride, most people really enjoying Prides momumental feel. now looking back to even post pride days, we compare the ufcs production the to the production now and still seem to appreciate the "larger then life" spectacle feel to the "every other sport" feel...yet we will only drift further and further away
