Gotta be TJ Grant. Next in line for a title shot. Freak grappling concussion. Boom. Ghandi.

Nick Diaz. If he just hung around a little longer he could have beaten Woodley and became champion. Nick was a terrible matchup for Woodley. The pace Woodley fights at is too slow for Nick, even with his superior wrestling, I can't see how he could hold Nick down for 5 rounds. Gsp has even said he thinks Nick would have become champion if he stuck around.

GSP was past his prime, but still on top. I think he needs to be considered.
Cole Konrad retired as Belator champion with a 9-0 record. He was a two time NCAA champion with wins over Mocco; he took third in University worlds; and took second in USA freestyle nationals. He was an absolute stud and he got in, got paid, and got out.
Mark Schultz is one of the best wrestlers in American history. He was 1-0, having destroyed Gary Goodridge. Who knows how good he would have been?

Technically, Schultz had another fight and lost. He claims it was supposed to be a work and he got double crossed if I remember correctly...seems possible, given I doubt he would have lost via sub to anyone who wasn't top tier,...on the other hand, he seems legit crazy at this point, so who knows.

Agreed.
The craziest thing about Mark is that he didn’t start wrestling until high school (Dave, meanwhile is top 10 HS wrestlers of all-time)

He lost his last 3 fights and didn’t win a round against GSP or Silva. I get it, they’re great…but the myth of Nick Diaz amazes me.
