Of course they can. Zuffa owns the company. The only stipulation in the Showtime contract is that he has to fight at least once more in StrikeForce
Damn, with a broken hand to heal and 1 fight left on his contract it may be forever before we see him in the UFC
Carwin...he's pretty much out of the mix right now so I think that would be a good fight for both. Carwin could prove to everyone that he's back with a win or Cormier could prove he deserves an immediate title shot with a win.

If Cain has to fight twice before getting a rematch with JDS, I think he would match up great with DC providing he makes it past Mir. I am thinking he does.

this makes the most sense, Tim is a former UFC HW champ, a guy who has been wanting back in the UFC, he is a name. I personally think Cormier destroys him.
I dont see the point of sending a guy like Carwin, why send a legit HW to SF? One of them would lose so you'd lose a HW and gain a HW instead of just gaining a HW to the div.
