I don't like Stipe's chances with Werdum 2.0's stand up.
And I really don't like his chances with Werdum 2.0 on the ground
Gonna be tough nut for Stipe to crack, best of luck to him but I've gotta go with Werdum on this one.

Me too, I don't think he's on the same level as werdum, I know he's got the power but it might not even be a factor.
But then again stipe really had a quick rise, he could surprise us and be that next guy.

Werdum was getting his ass kicked by Hunt till he landed the knee, Stipe has a great chance if it stays on the feet. Werdums stand up isn't indestructible.
With 2 weeks to prepare for Werdum's ground game, he has next to no chance realistically.
Werdum is the best and most talented heavyweight of all time, he takes this with ease.

Am I the only one who thinks this fight will be just as hard for Werdum? Stipe is just like Cain, a tough wrestler with solid boxing. Stipe has more reach than Cain and is the same height as Werdum, so those are two advantages Werdum used to have over Cain but no longer. Werdum's mt clinch and knees to the head will be tougher to land now.

I agree that fight would have been just as hard if Stipe had a full training camp, but unfortunately he isn't getting a full camp.

Good point actually, wasn't factoring that Stipe was closer in size to Werdum than Cain. I just think Werdums long striking and kicks will play a factor. Fuck being on the ground with him obviously but Stipe could employ a wall and maul style.
How will it get to the ground? No way is Werdum taking Stipe down and my guess is that if Stipe takes Werdum down it will be a quick dump to score and then he'll back away.
Stipe's only chance is to keep it standing. Even then, he probably doesn't have a big advantage. But anything can happen. He's certainly athletic enough to make it interesting.
