I hope Mark gets what he wants (or needs) for them.
2 pairs of Gp fight worn gloves... very cool!!! 35k hmmmm, let me think about it
I'll pass.
I just looked at it again and the price is 99 cents. If I bought at that price and won would they be able to dispute it?
If you bought anything at a certain price why would you have to "win" it???
Are you expecting the UG Memorabilia Ground Mafia to back you on this transaction?
I was speaking hypothetically. Why are you getting emotional bro?
Those gloves are pretty historical, good score dickface. Mark deserves the 35k for those. He wanted 10k for his gloves from the shogunUFC fight, I thought that was way too high especially since he lost.
Agreed, these gloves are awesome. Fight worn gloves in general are okay I guess, but as mentioned, these are historic. The champion's gloves from the first superstar tournament in MMA. It's actually pretty sad to see them up for sale, but I'm glad it isn't for pocket change.
When are we going out drinking Andy?
When you PM me your number. The 18th.
the gp2000 final round gloves are top 3 fight worn gloves i'd like to own...rickson's pride 1, vt94, and coleman's gp2000 would be my fav pics
but 35k...i'll pass....but i hope mark gets the $$$ he wants
Matt i don't see where you are coming from man. really. Just because you dont have the cake to dispose on the gloves does not make the asking price high... machida's and silva's gloves routinely sell for over 20K. Couture's gloves always sell for 20-25K even for a loss... If you consider the tournament that these are from and the fact that coleman is a UFC hall-of-famer and this is for TWO PAIRS... I think it's a STEAL. coleman may be raising the price incedentally... not sure but we'll see what happens.
If Machida gloves go for 20k I am really disappointed that these aren't flying off the shelf at 35k... They are arguably the most important gloves in MMA history.
Machida was asking 10k for his Rampage gloves. I know he wanted 25k for his Shogun 1 fight gloves all because of the Japanese guy buying shit for ridiculous amounts, I'm pretty sure he never got that.
Randy's gloves from the Brock fight were offered to me for 12k and shorts for 8500. How much would the first pair of Coleman's gloves be worth if he sold them seperately?? I say 5k but who really knows. 35k is probably a reach especially since he almost let the final round gloves go for less than half of the current asking price. Either way, he deserves whatever he's asking for.
flyingtoehold - since he almost let the final round gloves go for less than half of the current asking price. You mean somebody ALMOST talked him into selling them for that much but didn't...
exactly.
You know as well as anybody with half a brain... one-of-a-kind fight-worn items are priceless. period.
someone will pay what he wants. might take a year or so but they will sell. 35k is nothing to some people. just takes finding the right mma fan with a fat bank account.
do i think they are overpriced? hell yes. but what any of us actually think has little relevance to actual worth. we have all seen things sell for way more money than we would actually pay for them
So they didnt sell for $35K but they are now at $40K???
Brett, what is Colemans reasoning behind that? Does he even have one?
I dont undastan fren!!!
there was an offer for more than that amount so he raised the price. not my doing. i did however get him to settle on that price. no t me.
MJ and MMA = apples and oranges.
So he wanted $35k. Got an offer more than that, so he RAISED the price and didn't sell to the original guy who bid his original ASKING price?
fightpimp - there was an offer for more than that amount so he raised the price. not my doing. i did however get him to settle on that price. no t me.I dont understand.
MJ and MMA = apples and oranges.
He says he want $35K for it right?
Then someone comes along and offers $37K for no reason?
And when someone offers more than his asking price, he raises it to $40K?
Not sayign your bsing, just I dont understand his mentality or reasoning.
I know fedor hits hard, but fuck!
