Who's Ready for DREAM 6?!

Place Tourney predictions here:

Dream 6 airs tonight LIVE in HD on HDNet @ 3 a.m. EST.

As many times as these tournaments keep ending in imperfect ways, I still get more excited for the tournament finals than anything.  If anyone actually does manage to make it all the way through and win, what better accomplishment is there in MMA than winning a competitive 16 man tournament and finishing with 2 wins in one night?

The only question is do I bother falling asleep between the Chargers/Jets game and DREAM 6?

Who do you have winning the tournament?  I'll take:

Mousasi over Manhoef by submission Rd 1

Jacare over Galesic by submission Rd 1

Jacare over Mousasi by decision

And oh, by the way, Mirko vs. Overeem on the undercard, Hideo Tokoro, Akiyama, and more!

cmon EM get your picks in.  Anyone see a Zelg KO?

Nope

Jacare vs Mousasi Final IMO

Manhoef, Souza, Tokoro, Overeem, Yoon, Minowa, Sakurai, Nakamura, Akiyama, Aoki, Kharitonov imo.

how do i get this shit in the uk??????????

either way, i'm happy

had some extra holidays @ work, so i took tomorrow off

definitely ready for this event

Devlin - how do i get this shit in the uk??????????

stDREAM

i think manhoef by sheer KO power, but i hope zelg pulls of the upset, rooting for those 2 as i think there fight would be fireworks, then again any combo of the 4 guys left will be a great fight

EM, is the audio in that clip supposed to sound saturated like that?

Also, anyone know why the Japanese put on their events on a Tuesday night usually? Is that their equivalent of Saturday night in the US?

Yeah youtube screwed it up. I am reuploading in a different format right now. :(

Cool video if not for the sound.

There is some great shit-talk flying around this one. You gotta love Cro-Cop's sense of humour.

Uploaded it again in a different format, and youtube chewed it up again. Fuck it, I just manually changed the audio.

I got Dong Sik Yoon by Dongbar in both fights as he will win the GP ala Joachim Hansen.

according to Sherdog, Might Mo is out and Jimmy Ambriz replaces him. I'm pretty excited for Dream, but there's not 1 particular fight other than Alistair vs Crocop that really has me excited. I was excited to see Sergei vs Mo, but Ambriz doesn't do it for me.

Too many mismatches on the undercard, and as much as I love tourneys, I don't like that it's Jacare and 3 relatively one dimensional strikers. Jacare has too good of a chance, but I'll be rooting for Manhoef. If Mousasi beats Manhoef then I'll root for Mousasi.

And just to cover my back before anyone says anything, yes I know that Mousasi is not a 1 dimensional striker and has some good subs, but if Jacare gets him down it's probably over anyway.

Mousasi-Manhoef figures for some serious fireworks! I just hope that Mousasi is game enough (err...dumb enough?) to stand with Manhoef or that Manhoef can sprawl well enough to keep it standing.

??   Mousasi is an outstanding grappler, and Zelg is a very good grappler.  Myabe you should be more excited.

i'm very excited to see more of jacare.  he has a bright future.

I almost forgot about this, cool, a reason to stay up all night!

I don't recall being impressed by Zelg when I saw him, but maybe that's because of the mini crocop hype.

But I am pretty excited for this card...a lot more than anything that's been on in the last couple weeks. Strikeforce for instance didn't have a single fight I was excited about

Yoon Dong Sik x Andrews Nakahara-  Donger by submission

Manhoef x Mousasi- really looking forward to this one.  I'm taking Mousasi by sub, but Manhoef may very well be too powerful and relentless on the feet.

Jacare x Zelg Galesic- although Zelg is a solid striker,  I think eventually Jacare gets him to the mat for the easy sub.

K-Taro x Adriano Martins-  I don't know much about Martins, but he's got a win over Azevedo, who is a crafty vet who's fought Mach and has wins over Din and Rodrigo Damm.  I'm hoping K-Taro gets back to his old ways with a RNC win.

Sergei x Ambriz- Sergei will slap him silly on the feet with crisp boxing, and then finish him with strikes or a sub.  Sergei by TKO, quick.

Tokoro x Atsushi Yamamoto- Yamamoto is a Pancrase/Shooto vet who won't be a pushover, but will fall to Tokoro.  Tokoro by decision.

Funaki x Minowa man-  Ummm, weird?  It could be mildly entertaining though.  Minowa by TKO on the feet.

Mach x Hironaka- Please give me the "old" Mach, who would calmly pick Hironaka apart on the feet with solid combinations and hard leg kicks.  Mach by TKO.

Akiyama x Masanori Tonooka- This is Tonooka's 2nd MMA fight.  Akiyama by TKO.

Aoki x Todd Moore-  LOL.  Aoki by sub.

CroCop x Overeem- CroCop shows why he was formerly a top 3 world HW by clocking Alistair with the straight left as long as Alistair doesn't gas during his entrance.
