Who's the toughest/grittiest fighter of all time?

My vote would be for Yuki Nakai. Dude was a complete savage. His vale tudo Japan performance alone is enough.

Three fights in one night, Devastating injury in the first bout, smallest guy by a wide margin with two opponents having 100lb advantages. Fights to fights half blind.

The old school guys were a different breed

Royce Sakuraba and B.Nog

Both Diaz Bro's, No one can be tougher, they are the bench mark for Everyone.

Tony Ferguson seems to be Equaling that bench mark.

Jorge Masvidal used to street fight bare knuckle in the Kimbo Slice productions way back ( and he was a bad Motherfucker!! )

Renzo.  He watched as Sakuraba snapped his arm.  He kept coming and coming after Hughes turned his leg into mincemeat.

Gaethje. Anyone saying otherwise is just being a pseudo-intellectual and trying to impress people with their knowledge of the past.

Also, Evander Holyfield's performance against riddick bowe in round 10 always comes to mind when I think of "Lionheart".

I think Felder deserves an honorable mention.  His body of work is still growing, but fighting through that lung injury is amazing.  Definition of a blood and guts fighter

Really now lol

have you ever seen the two guys called Diaz??? lol

Dont get me wrong Gaethje is the same but if you think he is tougher then the Diaz bro’s you need to watch some of their fights, Nate and Nick have been doing what Gaethje is doing in the UFC much longer against the best.
