Short supply:/
Id assume it's very difficult to get into the gun manufacturing business, and even tougher to overcome brand loyalty popular brands have, and skepticism customers will have buying a brand they never heard of.
Guns are in short supply now but the last two years of Obama's and the first two years of trump's presidency had some of the best gun deals since I've been alive. Colt 6920s at sub 800 dollars, used glocks at sub 400 during a lot of that time frame.
PwnedCakes - I know guns are in extremely short supply now with Biden being (wink wink, nod nod) elected. But they've basically been in short supply as long as I can remember. All through Obama's presidency for sure. If they are in short supply, then prices are higher, meaning there should be a market for more companies to get into the fray and start making and selling guns. Why have more companies not stepped up to make that extra $$$? Has capitalism failed us?Just curious.
Thanks!
You are misremembering.
18 months ago there was no shortage of firearms or ammo. It’s panic buying, pure and simple. In another 18 months the buying frenzy will have subsided and you will see shelves stocked again.
This is all 100% consumer driven.

Do you believe the recent toilet paper shortage was “artificial manipulation?” Or was it people acting like retards because OTHER PEOPLE were acting like retards?

Thanks. But how can it be manipulated so much? Can’t any company with a reasonable amount of capital forge/craft/assemble/etc. guns and parts for guns? Diamonds I can see that if some companies can get the mines where most come out of then they can manipulate the supply. But guns is pouring iron into some casts, stamping parts, assembling pieces, etc., hard to see how any one gun company could prevent from others from doing so.
Thanks!
Yes, but only X per day. And the companies aren’t going to add machinery or hire more people so they can run the machines 24/7 because this is being driven by people acting stupid. Panic buying. They know that once the panic subsides, and it WILL, then demand will drop to the point where they once again can make more than the channel will buy.

Nothing artificial about it. Supply could not meet the sudden demand from democrat riots and the threat to defund police.
The ammo situation is even worse. Supply and prices were perfectly normal in 2019
This right here. Even some ultra liberals I know have purchased guns this year. Nobody wants to fall victim to “mostly peaceful” protesters invading your neighborhood

I want to point out that I also know ultra liberals that purchased firearms and will still vote in restrictive laws. When an ultra liberal guy buys a firearm, they do so to generally “feel safe.” Buy a Glock 17 and couple boxes of ammo and then it sits in their safe for just in case. No training, no diving into the subculture. Things like the handgun roster, ammo background checks, evil features on a rifle (for CA) don’t really apply to them. And we rarely care about something that doesn’t apply to us.
And for the rest of the US, before you know it, you may see CA type restrictions coming your way. Wouldn’t shock me in the least. It really boggled my mind when Biden released his gun safety laws he wanted to push out and it dawned on me that he would have never released that if it threatened his chance at presidency. It strengthened his position. Which means, most people, including many gun owners, are for or indifferent to further gun restrictions. Because “I got mine, fuck you”

No clue as to the particulars. I imagine Glock (or whoever) limits the quantity it sells to stores and other 3rd party sellers as a means to artificially drive the price up. Perhaps, the same as ammo. As you said, it seems to just be casted/stamped parts so with such a great demand, one would think they could easily ramp up production.
Or consumption is really out-pacing manufacturing.
I can guarantee you Glock is not artificially limiting supply.

All those cunts who hoarded that TP and haven’t side sold it now just have a lifetime supply. So they no longer need guns or ammo at least not for a set amount of time in which they would’ve still purchased said guns and ammo just in a longer stretch you fat buffoon.
