I see this all over the place...people saying that Sanders and Trump have no chance of winning an election despite drawing MASSIVE crowds and that Hillary and Jeb will be the candidates because they are most electable. They say this as if its a given. As if politics and elections still operate as they did pre-Facebook/Twitter.
WTF?
In the past, this shit may have held true, but in this social media world, unless the elections are totally fucking rigged, Americans will NOT put another Clinton or Bush in the White House. People, by and large, are absolutely fucking sick of the career politicians and very vocal about it. Just look at the average Facebook feed.
They would vote in a Kardashian before a Bush or Clinton. Fact.
You are delusional if you don't think Hilary would be a tough out.
I don't want to see it because that scares the shit out of me, but I think you are wrong when you say people wouldn't vote for her because of her last name.
because they are most likely in the pockets of the elites
because the American electorate for the most is the most stupid group of people on the planet
They re too extreme.
You don't swing people from the middle with an extreme.
It s pretty fucking clear
Dear Stewart,
You have no fucking clue what you are talking about. So much that I'm not going to be able to explain it to you.

When is the last time you met an American who's political opinion isn't extreme in 2015?
PatK - Dear Stewart,

"Just look at the average Facebook feed."
You know how I know you're an idiot?
For the same reason that a remake of an 80s movie is the "most watchable" film to be made, in the eyes of studio execs.
Because there is a big difference between winning a nomination and an election. When there are as many candidates running as there are now you can lead with 20% of the vote. As candidates drop and you have to start pulling the people who don't think of you favorably candidates start to drop off. Last cycle it was Herman Cain and Michelle Bachman. Great out of the gate and then they stalled when it started to winnow down. I predict the same for Trump.
Hillary is unelectable and always has been. She has too much baggage to pull people in a national election.
Hillary and Jeb are "most electable" because above all else, both sides want to win. Both parties will flirt with the newer, cooler and hotter candidates for a little while but eventually they'll go back to the safe choice and follow the money. Politics is like dating -- we all want to fuck the porn star, but we'll never bring her home to meet Mom.
Was Obama the safe candidate?
Because the media says so.
Say what you want about Hillary, but for some people, she hearkens back to the good ole days of the Clinton era where there were jobs/ opportunities galore, and projected surpluses. With Jeb Bush, I have no idea why he's even considered a contender besides the campaign money he's accrued. GWB has to have destroyed any credibility/ electability of the Bush name.
