We only got the first one in my city last year . It took an intersection that was a foolish clusterfuck forever and turned it into the smooth sailing. There’s a few out in the burbs that I have to use that are also effective . In a time where time matters and saving gas and the earth and whatnot…… why aren’t these everywhere
There’s one in my city, i love it but hate people that dont know how to drive. I was road raging just this morning, stupid cunt came to a dead stop at the yield sign with no other traffic in the roundabout.
people are retarded: they stop and wonder at them. when used properly they save time and require no maintenance
i lean on the horn when they do that shit. motherfucker move
Because most drivers are fucking stupid and have no idea how to use them.
Exactly what I did. Sucks I have a company truck but still raged on the bitch.
Americans and people in general are resistant to change.
Also politicians have to put their careers on the line to implement traffic circles and for most it probably doesn’t seem worth it on a risk vs reward basis.
That said they have been putting them in a lot around here and I like them and they are much safer.
It’s probably going to be a much safer intersection for cars now. It takes away T-Bone impacts and replaces them with much less destructive corner to corner impacts
This. Think of how many people drive slow in the left lane. If they can’t figure out to move right, they won’t understand how to use a roundabout
There are a lot of traffic circles in Florida and most people are clueless how to navigate them.
Most people in Florida couldn’t navigate a Winn-Dixie parking lot
I can’t argue with that but sadly most people in Florida are from other states so their driving ability cannot be blamed solely on Florida.
I blame the Haitians
Everyone figures out how to use a roundabout eventually. They are superior. There’s many of them where I live and I can’t remember seeing anyone doing anything exceptionally moronic recently.
They’re also hilarious to drift around in the middle of the night.
The biggest problem is people knowing they have to yield to those already in the traffic circle which results in people in the traffic circle braking erratically to ensure the car heading towards the circle knows they have to yield.
We have a ton in our metro area. They can be death traps. The Karen’s think they always have the right of way and the Asians find them as complicated as saying balloon. Don’t get me started on the Somali. They just either drive around and around at 10 mph until they eventually exit the same way they came from or sit there and drool waiting for someone to honk at them.
Yes but people also gun it to 60 so they can be closer to only one second late for the red light which is extremely dangerous
