He's in the twilight of his career. I remember when Tyson used to walk to the ring as a young fighter. He looked like he was going to murder someone.He used to punch holes in the dressing room walls before coming out. At the end of his career, the fire left too. There's something to be said for when you lose your passion for something.
Yeah , he def lost the fire a while ago. As soon as he came to fight in the states actually. It really sucks getting older..
Sometimes when you get older your mentality changes for various reasons. Especially for someone who has been in some sort of combat orientation since he was 18 years old. I would imagine he is just burnt out on hurting people. Really other than Overeem do you know of any MMA fighter who has inflicted the kind of damage on their opponents than Cro Cop?
I always made a connection between the Cro Cop/Gonzaga fight and the episode of Family Guy where Peter and the guys go to jail, and the prisoner goes to kill them but is to late and gives himself a little stab in the stomach and says "That's what I've been doing to people? I deserve to be in here"
