I think he thought he saw them signal the fight was over since sometimes you can't hear the bell.

In all seriousness, it's gotta suck to clean KO the guy, have him fall backwards like in the movies, have his head smack off the canvas so hard that it actually wakes him back up. If Herb had stopped the fight right there, even after Bosse woke back up, the stoppage would have been fine.

Because he consistently makes minor mistakes and is incredibly indecisive about almost any stoppage. I've been saying for years that he is way worse than he gets credit for.
Always looks like the most surprised person in the world too when someone gets rocked or knocked down.
Just a little mistake by Herb, problem is the way they where throwing bomb's one of them could have gone down in those few seconds that where left.

Just for the record, I thought it was a great fight, I'm glad Herb didn't stop it, and he probably shouldn't have stopped it when he did. I was more just trying to point out the frustration OConnell must have felt.
