All over the net I've read that Lesnar failed in MMA and ran back to the WWE cos he couldn't hack it.....
I see a lot of MMA fans are bitter towards Lesnar - These new 'hardcore' fans also claim to love PRIDE - PRIDE was created to show that pro wrestlers were legit tough guys!
Lesnar can walk away from the sport as a.....
* Former UFC HW Champ.
* Two title defences - Both were against legit top ten fighters. Andrei Arlovski defended his title twice: Justin Eilers & Paul Buentello
* Tied with Fedor for most legit top ten wins in a row - Randy, Mir, Carwin - Tim Sylvia, Andrei Arlovski, Brett Rogers.
Does that count as failure these days?
It's just a shame he got sick. It was a blast while it lasted.
The Lesnar that beat Randy, HH and Mir would give any HW from any era a tough fight.
I still want to see Lesnar vs. JDS.
Agreed.
Alot of people are hypocrites.
Agreed
He failed when he realised he is scared of getting puched and then he gave up. He failed because he didn't try to improve his stand up, but chose to quit. Possibly his ego couldn't handle it.
That's my view, who knows what really hapened.
What happened is that he had 12" of his colon removed.
Because being labeled a fighter with no heart is the worst thing that can happen to a fighter. Once is fear of getting hit was exposed his career was an epic fail.
WALES1 - What happened is that he had 12" of his colon removed.
11 inches.

Well that possibly influenced his chin or should I say ability to get punched and not go into a featal position on ground. But then again maybe it did not.
On the other hand people, and Lesnar himself, realised that he is not comfortable with getting punched and they used that against him. The main reason is that Lesnar realised that he doesn't like getting punch and once that happened, and the rest of them found that out, he was finished. Unles he was able to adapt and improve his stand up.
Hector of troy is anyone that has losses in the ufc a failure?
I am not a huge fan but what he did was incredible and he accomplished more than ninety percent of veteran fighters. What happened was he almost died came back and never backed down from a challenge . He deserves our respect and if you think that is a failure i would love to hear your lifes accomplishments. And you must only be a fan of anderson silva . And if anything that is not undefeated is a failure like becoming ufc hw champ i would do anything to be a huge failure like that. And i would enjoy this huge failure to my death and the money this huge failure made would make it worth it.
Reem ran away from punches.
Within a year he was KOing Badr Hari!
It's amazing would you can do via training, but it's hard to train when you are in a hospital bed.
Lesnar was a rookie and lost two years quality training time due to illness.

I never said losing was a failure. I said realising that he is crap at stand up and scared of getting hit and then quiting, rather then improving, is a failure on his behalf.
Never mind disregard post had no clue you had such insightful information. If only some of his past opponenets know this secret you call hitting. Its a wonder he had the wins he did before this gem was found out or else they would have used this secret hitting technique and he would have never had a win
My god this brock my ten year old cousin hits very hard and with this established secret brock stands little chance.
Was that what you call quitting? Dieing and ignoring critics to fight the best in the ufc .
So i guess the secret to winning pro fights at the highest level is quitting and this secret hit technique you speak of.
Thank you this will be helpful in my future endeavors

Well we don't know how much he trained and how much he spent in bed. Maybe he used the surgery to give him some time to reevaluate his fighting career. In any case he should have spent all his time training doing stand up and sparring hard and not lifting weights and wrestling.

i guess in versions of Cain and Overeem fights you watched Lesnar didn't just curl up and go featal on the ground due to strikes. Poor bastard looked shit scared of getting hit.
Yes, we do.
We know Lesnar had major surgery 6 months prior to the Reem fight.
That's 6 months to heal and then somehow get bacj inshape.
When do you find the time to improve as a fighter?
We also know he nearly died post Mir and got sick again prior to the JDS fight.
And what shame is there losing to Reem and Cain anyway?
