I disagree, I don't think it's because he's blunt, I think it's because he's a fight promoter through and through, except instead of promoting fights like a Don King, he's promoting a brand.
Lemme start by saying he's clearly no King, I'm not some faggot ant-Zuffa hater pretending DFW is anywhere the leach or sport killer a King is, but what I mean is, he'll say dumb shit, illogically defend a point and flip his shit to protect his interests.
It's just that whereas King might promote racist shit like the Great White Hope, defend convicted felons, and just generally do stupid shit to make his fighters seem the best no matter what and as though they could do no wrong, BLAF does that for his Organization.
He'll turn on his fighters at the drop of the hat if they badmouth his organization, he'll make public random negotiation nuances to make them look bad and make them toe the line -- HE ASKED FOR ANDERSON SILVA MONEY!!??, He's so afraid he'd rather be cut than fight Glover -- he'll still go on insane rants and try and destroy press giving him shit, except not press giving him shit about fighters he employs or who attack fighters -- rather he flips his shit if they attack his business' practices.
He kept bragging about stacked cards and co-mains and now in recent years, he just dodges questions about depth and gets mad, or calls people haters, if they mention how UFC has started the boxing model of propping up cards with one main fight.
I think BLAF is and was great for the sport and I'm happy to have him, but he needs to reign his shit in imo
