Im sorry, but what is the record of getting taken down in a mma fight?
he lost a decision to rivera. though he was pretty much done at the end, if i remember correctly.
Loiseau doesn't have good takedown defense, but is very good at escaping bad positions on the ground, and limiting the amount of punishment taken on the ground. Loiseau was looking to strike early, Joey imposed his game and exposed Loiseau's weakness. I dont however get this shit that he is such a changed fighter after Franklin, and think the broadcasting was fuckin horrendous. He always has had suspect takedown defense. McCarthy took him down for fuck sakes. Tanner was able to take him down as easily, and the difference ended being that Joey did not allow himself to end up in a bad spot like Tanner did and for the brief time he did find himself reversed he defended very well, and quickly got out of that bad spot, unlike Tanner.
it's a shame. Loiseau and GSP coming up, both looked to have futures with the sky as the limit. It was debatable really who would be a bigger star in the sport, and I'm sure many would have said Loiseau. St Pierre kept improving and continued to go up, where Loiseau really has gone in a different more puszzling direction.
