why has Frankie Edgar had 3 rematches in a row?

I'm just curious as to how on earth does Frankie Edgar have this many rematches in a row?

Please for the love of god, whether he wins of loses please let him fight others. There were so many lightweight matches that I wanted to see him in and for the last almost 4 years I've only seen him fight 3 different fighter.

Yeah so? He has moved to a whole new weight class. Phone Post

because a couple of the fights were very close/questionable decisions on both ends

What is this?6 months ago?

lol. Ya I guess I am a bit behind on this.

hahaha

Frankie was probably the most annoying fighter for awhile there. I love the guy and his attitude but god damn is it relieving to have him out of the devision. Phone Post

Ya and also the Gray Maynard rematch before the BJ fights. Just simply ridiculous match making.

What? Put the pipe down and step away. Delete this thread and maybe you'll save some face around here. Phone Post

All 3 deserved rematches IMO Phone Post

I hope the same people saying Chael doesn't deserve it are saying the same about Edgar.

Him and Faber must be doing something good to Dana and the gang to get all the title shots though

He's not called Frankie Two-Time for nothing.

Simple:

BJ deserved the rematch.

Gray drew with Frankie, so a rematch made a huge amount of sense.

The Benson rematch was maybe undeserved. He lost that fight, but barely. Unfortunately, for him, he deserved the nod the second go around and lost his rematch card.

Very fair Wiggum

LOl BTW at you bailing like dog in that Diaz VS Condit thread after you said you'd respond.

BJ deserved the rematch, he had a draw with Maynard so that was the right move and he lost a close fight with Bendo.

Like Wiggum said maybe that rematch with Bendo wasnt the fight everyone wanted the fact he was the champ and gave guys rematches he got his and he won that fight.

Doesnt matter nwo because he is a FW and all those fights are gonna be new. Starting with Aldo then you have Zombie, Koch, Mendes so he shouldnt be in a rematch for a while.

The guys style leads to close fights. He likes to stay outside, stick and move, rack up points with occasional take downs. That's his deal. Do not be surprised when the Aldo/Edgar ends with a razor close decision and he gets another rematch.

Because be cruises it when he thinks he's ahead and slightly picks it up when he's losing.

The guy fights to barely eek out decisions Phone Post

After the last bendo Edgar fight I would have cried of it was gonna happen again. Glad he is going to 45, he won't be champ there but there are some interesting match ups for him. Phone Post

It's not like he was asking for the first two. In case you forgot, he was the Champion. Champions don't ask for rematches, they give them
