I don't have a great understanding of Capoeira, but it seems to me if high level MMA fighters could use some of the kicking techniques it could change modern MMA. I'm sure some people here train or know more about it than I do... just looking for answers/convo.

Maybe the sport isn't ready for that level of kicking technique. It wasn't till Etim Barboza that we started seeing high level TKD kicks.
That may be true. It took fighters a few years to learn how to handle wrestlers, maybe it's just another evolution. I know there hasn't been a huge amount of success with Capoeira so far, but maybe it could be better implemented with other Martial Arts better today.
