Watching this donk Dr on CNN right now. He’s saying the USA performed amongst the worst in the world, largely because of being behind in testing. Poor leadership. Basically all Trumps fault.
so I constantly hear it’s the presidents fault. The local governments fault. SELFISH people who refuse to stay home or wear masks. Aren’t we supposed to have the best doctors in the world? Isn’t it DOCTORS duty to keep us safe? Guys like Fauci, they have failed us BIG TIME
If Hillary had won and everything else was the same, he would have said Hillary's stong and brave leadership kept the covid deaths down to only 300,000.

That’s absolutely what would have happened. Wait until Biden is sworn in.

Doctors treat patients, they have absolutely nothing to do with mass testing or the country’s response to Covid. Fauci, to his limited credit, spoke of imposing partial travel restrictions back in February before the first reported case of Covid in the U. S. A week later, on February 10th, Trump responded by stating that warm weather would kill Covid and that it would be gone by April.
In April and May, Fauci and others advocated that testing in the U.S., was far too limited and that not enough was being done to stop the possible spread of Covid. In May and June, most doctors were encouraging people to stay away from mass gathering of people at a time that Trump was holding mass gatherings and repeatedly downplaying the significance of Covid.
You can love Trump all that you want and hate science, education and anything else that you perceive as liberal, but at some point, facts and critical thinking skills should factor into your decision making process and if you don’t believe that that Trump completely dropped the ball on Covid than you simply have your head buried deep in the partisan sand of politics to a point where any pretense of rationality went out the window.

I agree it is not Trump’s fault. The reality is America is one of the leaders in cormobidities (like obesity and other ailments that aggregavate COVID-19 symptoms) among certain sub-population BEFORE Trump took office. You could blame doctors, but health care disparaties are a complex issue.

YEP
Yeah, even if the 300k were really from Covid after they predicted 3 million deaths from Covid and built dozens and dozens of hospitals at astronomical prices that barely treat any patients.
No one saw this coming or imagined we would be in this predicament. Ask anyone in the US, Canada or any other developed nation if they saw this coming and that an entire year wasted they'll say no. The reason Taiwan and South Korea were able to mitigate the impact was due to their first hand experience with the bird flu virus.

Oh really?
Im pretty sure that Obama created a team to deal with pandemics, because they knew something like COVID would eventually hit. Whatever happened to that team? Oh yeah, Trump disbanded it and cut their funding.
Trump could have pushed for a national approach to testing and contact tracing. He could have pushed for funding to ensure that when lockdowns did happen, the people and businesses would be covered. He could have done a lot of things, but that would have required leadership.
